Timing Strategy
- Day 1–2: Arrive Coron. Tour A island hopping.
- Day 3: Wreck diving or Tour B.
- Day 4: Rest day or hot springs. Board ferry at 8am on Day 4 or Day 5 depending on energy.
- Days 4–5+ (in El Nido): Lagoon tours, beach islands, snorkelling. Return to Manila or extend elsewhere.
Ferry Logistics
Book your Coron→El Nido ferry 1 day in advance at the Coron pier or through your guesthouse. Boats leave 8am, arrive El Nido ~noon. Bring water, sunscreen, motion sickness tablets if needed. The sea is usually calmer in morning hours.
Total Cost (5–7 Days in Palawan)
Budget: ₱8,000–₱12,000. Mid-range: ₱14,000–₱20,000. Comfortable: ₱20,000–₱35,000+.
Budget Breakdown by Itinerary Length

Seasonal Adjustment Tips
Peak Season (Dec–March)
Book everything in advance. Tours fill early. Guesthouses are full. Prices are 20–30% higher. Consider arriving mid-week (Mon–Tue) to avoid weekend crowds.
Shoulder Season (April–May, Nov)
Perfect balance. Book 2–3 weeks ahead. Good weather, fewer crowds than peak. Prices are normal.
Wet Season (June–Oct)
Prices drop 30–50%. Book 1 week ahead. Weather is less predictable—some days are gorgeous, others are rainy. Ferry cancellations are more frequent. If planning tight itineraries, build in 1–2 buffer days.
Real First-Timer Recommendation
Aim for a 4-day stay: Day 1 (arrive + explore), Day 2 (Tour A), Day 3 (diving), Day 4 (rest or Tour B). This gives you a balanced Coron experience—island hopping, wreck diving, local food, sunset, and downtime to absorb it all. 3 days is rushed; 5+ days becomes repetitive unless you're a serious diver or want full relaxation.
If you're doing El Nido after Coron, the ferries align well: spend 4 days Coron, ferry Day 4 morning to El Nido, spend 2–3 days El Nido, fly out from Puerto Princesa or continue elsewhere. This creates a natural Palawan arc.
3-day express: Arrive + sunset, Tour A island hopping, diving or hot springs. ₱3,200–₱3,900. 4-day sweet spot (recommended): Arrive + explore, Tour A, diving, rest or Tour B. ₱5,200–₱6,500. 7-day full: Arrive, Tour A, diving, Tour B, Calauit + coral gardens, hot springs, rest. ₱10,500–₱13,500. Palawan combo: 3–4 days Coron + 2–3 days El Nido via ferry. ₱8,000–₱20,000. Peak season Dec–Mar (book 4–6 weeks ahead), shoulder Apr–May/Nov (2–3 weeks), wet Jun–Oct (1 week ahead, cheaper). Diving requires 3+ days (2-3 dives minimum). Realistic itinerary: arrive Day 1, Tour A Day 2, dive Day 3, chill Day 4+.
